Quit Talking Begin Doing

Today, I had the joy of visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida with my family. My grandson, Noah, is obsessed with animals. We saw some of his favorites: zebras, hippos, crocodiles, gorillas, and monkeys. I hadn’t been to a Disney World park in many years and I was in awe. Animal Kingdom is amazing. Walt Disney World is amazing. And there are still many projects currently under construction inside Disney’s 47 square mile World. Written on the temporary walls of some of the construction sites are Walt Disney quotes. This is one of my favorites:

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” ~ Walt Disney

Walt Disney’s vision for Walt Disney World has extended well-beyond his lifetime. He passed away in 1966 and people are still creating, building, and doing based on his vision.

As we walked around with thousands of people from all over the world, I couldn’t help but think about some of the projects I still have in my mind and heart to do. How much time am I spending talking versus doing? Am I willing to imagine a vision bigger than what I could possibly complete in my lifetime?

Most importantly, what do I need to quit talking about and start doing right now?
