Jeep Meet For A Cause

Our July 19th, Sunday afternoon Jeep Meet For A Cause was an amazing success!! The ‘Lightweight4x4′ and “We R Lifted’ Jeep Clubs led a group of South Florida Jeep and 4×4 Club members, driving in caravan style from Hialeah to Miami Gardens, Florida, beginning at 3:00 p.m. I was so excited and in awe as they drove onto the property, I almost forgot how to turn on my camera.

They rode their jeeps to raise awareness about the horrors of sex trafficking and to collect school supplies, hygiene products, and funds for our Cambodia Mission Trip 2015. My guess is that there were thirty jeeps and trucks lined up in a semi-circle in Trinity Church’s North Parking Lot when they were all assembled. In addition to the Jeeps, we had a food truck, a bake sale, a raffle for prizes, and a professional dog training demonstration by K-Pro K9 Dog Training. I have decided to name Luna our official Cambodia Missions Team Mascot.

The children who live in Koi Village, Kratie Province, who will attend Light of Future School #3 when it opens in September will directly benefit from their generosity. We have no doubt that this school will bless the community, reduce the risk of sex trafficking, and will be a catalyst to end the cycle of poverty in that area.

The temperature had to be close to 100 degrees on Sunday afternoon, but we were having a great time! I even got to be a Jeep Girl for a few minutes.

Later on that evening, when it was time to count the money, we counted $1,002.85!!!

I think my next car will be a Jeep!

(P.S. A special Thank You goes to Moe’z Express on SW 8th Street that donated 30% of their earnings from last Wednesday evenings sales between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and to My Food Truck for donating 10% of their earnings from the Jeep Meet.)
