I Am Powerful

“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.” ~ Malala Yousafzai

I am continuing to learn from Brian Sooy’s book “Raise Your Voice: A Cause Manifesto.” This week I have been focusing on the Cause Manifesto Principle “Be Powerful.” I have been reciting this to myself all week:

“I am powerful. I believe the cause I support is meaningful. I am acting in the belief this cause has the power to change the world.”

The day our Cambodia 2015 Mission Team stood in the middle of a small village in Kratie Province handing out first year school curriculum to 160 kids, I knew we were facilitating change in this community.

Our actions over those two days started a domino effect of events we won’t live long enough to witness. Children who had been illiterate received the tools to become literate.

Literacy is powerful; a potential energy capable of transforming an entire community. I believe we will see that power unleashed as our team continues to support the work of Cambodian Care Ministries in Kratie Province, Cambodia.

Is there a cause you support? How does it inspire you to act?
