Blooming

“You may delay, but time will not.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

A few days ago, I walked outside on my patio and found this red amaryllis blooming. I had been so busy the last few weeks, I hadn’t even noticed the stem growing upwards and now one of the flowers was completely open!

Once I saw the flower, I took some time to look around and see what else was blooming. I could hardly believe it when I realized how many things were blooming and growing in my family in the last seven days. I had been so “busy” getting things done that I barely noticed:

*My niece, Nina, attended her senior prom.

*My daughter, Vanessa, started her second year of medical school and Noah grew two teeth.

*My husband performed in our Easter Production as Pontius Pilate. This was his twentieth Easter Production!

*And finally, Zachary who sang in his first Easter production at age five turned twenty-five years old and he is still singing.

What’s blooming at your house? Don’t be taken by surprise like I was. Take time to appreciate the blessings and the beauty of what God is doing.
